Ian Sampson
Ian Sampson is an experienced coach, mentor and personal advisor, having worked in these areas with numerous companies and individuals for over 20 years. He has studied coaching at the Institute of Coaching and Counselling Psychology. He brings together academic knowledge, corporate experience and a deep personal desire to enable others that allows clients to achieve their coaching goals.
Ian has served as a member of a number of Boards and as a management advisor for the past decade following a 30-year career in top50 ASX companies such as BHP and CSR, including international service in a variety of senior leadership positions. Ian has significant experience in industrial relations, human resources and general management.
Ian is Deputy Chairman of Lysaght Peoplecare Ltd, a Director of Sugar Research Australia Ltd and is Chairman of The Leadership Foundation. He Chairs the People and Governance Committee of QEnergy Ltd, is a Chairman of the CEO Institute and is an associate director of AMPLIFi Governance.
Ian has governance, risk and audit management, financial management, board evaluation, remuneration and development expertise including through membership and chairmanship of Board committees in a variety of organisations and industry sectors.
Ian’s management advisory assignments include large scale organisational change projects in manufacturing, mining, agriculture, technology, transport and infrastructure businesses in several countries. He also mentors CEOs and Directors on complex organisational and personal matters.
Ian has Commerce and Law degrees from UNSW and is a Fellow of AIM and AICD. Ian is married with five adult children and lives in Brisbane.
